INNOVATION AND COLLABORATION:
BEHIND THE SCENES OF WONDER

What do Cirque du Soleil, Céline Dion, l’Opéra de Québec, Radio-Canada, the McCord Museum, C2 Montréal and Ricardo have in common? All of these creative organizations and personalities call on Acmé Décors to bring their ideas to life and to design exceptional environments for the public all around the world.

An artisanal know-how, leading-edge technologies

Acmé was born from a passion for the stage and a fascination for the art of creating real emotions. The company was founded in 1996 by Sylvain Malo, who brought together his experience in scenography and a rich family know-how in cabinet making.

Twenty-two years later, Acmé has become a Canadian leader in set production. They have 45 to 80 employees, two workshops with a total of 30,000 square feet in the Greater Montréal area, sophisticated equipment, and prestige clients in each of its lines of business:

A one-stop shop for one-of-a-kind sets

Acmé’s experience and its collaborative approach with clients allow it to manage the execution of each project from A to Z, including:

  • Co-design of sets, furnishings, and props with project creators
  • Research and development of custom solutions and new materials
  • Production of 3D technical designs
  • Complete production: woodworking, cabinet making, welding, sewing, sculpting, painting, patination, finishing, machinery, electronics, and digital cutting
  • Delivery and assembly
  • Maintenance and modification of permanent installations and touring elements

The Acmé difference? A project manager assigned to you at the start of the project who acts as a liaison between your creators, our R&D department, and production, while monitoring compliance with budges and deadlines.
